Two combined buildings with the Town Hall entrance on Club Road and the Post Office entrance on Post Office Road.

Year Completed in 1917 (completion delayed by non-arrival of steel work ordered from England).

Contractor:  Towkay Lim Weng Ching.

Construction Cost: $225,000 Straits Dollars

1948: District Police Headquarters.

30 Nov to 3 Dec1945: Venue of the Inauguration of the Malay Nationalist Party (MNP) headed by Dr. Burhanuddin Al-Helmy

2008: A forgotten tunnel was found below the Town Hall linking to the adjacent Ipoh High Court, believed to have been used to transfer prisoners when the building was a Police facility.
